Six Miles To Anthenry, Ireland

County Galway Sunset
9 Miles Today; Forrest was a little late in getting my walk in today. It seems my son Anthony from Dallas sent me a book for Father's Day called "Beyond Belief" a story about a promising baseball career almost ruined. The true story about Josh Hamilton of the Texas Rangers battle with drugs, alcohol and how he battled back from the abyss with the love and support of his wife, grandmother, and his Christian beliefs to become a Major League Baseball All-Star. Instead of walking in the early morning, Forrest starting reading his Father's Day present. To make a long story short. Forrest didn't put the book down until he was finished some three and half hours later. Thank-you son for a wonderful gift. Now I'm late with my blog and my bride is waiting for me, because we have a graduation open house to be at in about one hour. My nine miles today put me at 58 miles for this past week. With June coming to an end in a few days it looks like Forrest will have a good month of walking. Now fast forward to Ireland. Today passed through the town of Loughrea population 4,888, affectionately called "The town of the grey lake". Loughrea sits pleasantly on the shores of Lough Rea. The clear waters provides some of the world's best trout fishing. Loughrea is located at the junction of the road N6 and N66. Forrest will stay on N6 to R349 till I reach a very special town called Anthenry tomorrow (Sunday). So until then God Bless, Walk Forrest Walk
