America's Historic Route 66 officially begins on Adams Street in Chicago IL and winds its way along 2,448 miles thru eight states to terminate at the bluffs in Santa Monica CA overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The highway was established in 1926 and was eventually replaced by the Interstate highway system..."Walk Forrest Walk"

20 Degrees & Windy In Chicago
6 Miles Today; As very busy day of doing projects at my daughter Renae's condo. My jobs today were checking sink traps in kitchen & bath. I had to replace the sink trap in bathroom. Rehang pictures, reroute TV wires, fix electric outlet (loose wire). Fix under-the-counter light in kitchen. Put together new computer desk and chair. etc........I didn't get out for my walk to Navy Pier until late afternoon. It was pitch dark when I finished. I'll have to wait to get back to Michigan to update my Lewis & Clark Virtual Journey...........That's it from a cold and windy Chicago. Until tomorrow, God Bless Walk Forrest Walk
