Forrest Experiences Chicago's Brutal Weather

6 (Tough) Miles Today;  Forrest came face to face with Mother Nature at her best at causing havoc.  Forrest waited until daylight to see what Lake Michigan looked like from 26 floors up.  Even though it was in the low 20's the lake didn't look too threatening.  The weatherman said there would be wind gusts up 40 mph.  With  steady 20-25 winds, I set out for the trek down to the Lake Shore where the joggers, bikers, and walkers do their thing. I wondered why my daughter Renae's made me take a full face mask ... well after a brutal 30 minutes of dealing with the elements I had stop and put on the face mask!  I know I would have turned back if I had not be wearing it.  I kid you not, the waves and white caps where a sight to behold watching them hit the shoreline and cement breakers.  Water and spray everywhere. If a person was crazy enough and had a surfboard, Lake Michigan was there to furnish the high surf.  Anyway, never a dull moment for the walking guy.  Until tomorrow from the beautiful City of Chicago, God Bless Walk Forrest Walk
