Forrest's Virtual Journey of Route 66 began Feb 3, 2012. America's Historic Route 66 officially begins on Adams Street in Chicago IL and winds its way along 2,448 miles thru eight states to terminate at the bluffs in Santa Monica CA overlooking the Pacific Ocean. The highway was established in 1926 and was eventually replaced by the Interstate highway system. . . . "Walk Forrest Walk"

Forrest's Makes A Decision
8 Miles Today; Forrest latest journey will end next week in Stanton, North Dakota (50 miles north of today's location). After more than six months/1,300 miles of walking on my current virtual journey of following Lewis & Clark's Missouri River route to establish a western trade route to the Pacific Ocean. Lewis & Clark and it's crew of "The Corp of Discovery" built a permanent winter camp north of Mandan at present day Stanton, North Dakota (see story at right). So as the men of the expedition spend the coming winter months of 1804-1805 waiting for the spring thaw. Forrest will find another historic adventure to tackle. Forrest is researching his next Virtual Journey. All suggestions are welcome..............Until tomorrow, God Bless Walk Forrest Walk
